Journey to Vigilante

vigilante-001Last year, while promoting the release of Aluria, I submitted Youtube videos of myself, talking about aspects of the story before the release.  Because they didn’t get many views, and because I can’t stand watching myself talk, I decide I would do the same thing, but in a way that I know best: through my writing.

Vigilante was probably the easiest book for me to write, even though it took me longer to write it.  I think it was because it was my first time characters I had already established.  That, and I think overall, the story line is much more powerful than anything I have ever written before.

The story line is darker, but I think that was to be expected by all.  I don’t think I directly say it in the book, but Raiz’s prophecy comes true.  In peace time, people begin to question Aluria’s motives.  And then there are those who feel threatened by the legend he has created, including Captain Regina Myers, a character that was briefly introduced in the epilogue of Aluria.  I can tell you that she will be playing a big part in this new book, and I can’t wait for you to hear her story.  More on her in a future post.

Also from Aluria, we learned that Princess Tessa Warren will be testifying in Washington DC regarding the events that occurred in Blaton.  I was so eager to write those stories, and I think it fits well with the overall story.  I will tell you that the Hillary Clinton Benghazi hearings, as well as the overall 2016 presidential election were huge influences in the writing of those scenes.

And what about Raymond Conner?  Yes, that is probably the biggest question on people’s mind after the end of Aluria.  Readers will be thrilled to know that Raymond will be playing a part in this book, and they’ll see the anticipated confrontation between Jason and his father.  I won’t go into too much detail about this, but I can promise you that readers will get their questions answered in this new installment.

I believe that’s all for now.  I hope I have curbed your appetite with these few hints and clues while you wait for the book to be released.  But you won’t have to wait much longer.  Remember, Vigilante will be released worldwide on March 4.  If you have any dying questions about the new installment, put them in the comments below, and I’ll answer them in a special Q&A post, if it doesn’t give away too much of the story.

Talk to you soon!
