Journey to Disciple: Jason Conner

Hi guys, so in this installment of the Journey to Disciple series, I wanted to start going over the different characters that will be highlighted in this new book and of course, I wouldn’t be able to talk about the characters without going over the main character, Jason Connor.

When we left Jason at the end of Vigilante, we really didn’t know where things would lead up to.  I’m not going to spoil anything for those who haven’t started Vigilante yet, but his relationship with Aluria was strained and we knew that there would be a time that he would have to go through time to heal and to understand what all transpired in Vigilante.

I actually think the events that occur in Disciple are more important for him than they were in Vigilante.  Even though the events in Vigilante were very tragic for him, he begins to see a lot of the things that happen in the prior book re-emerge and he has to find his way through that and wonder if he can rely on Aluria, his best friend, his mentor and his team player to get through this new obstacle.

I was very excited to write Jason in this new book because we get to see a little bit of a more romantic side of him.  We see his relationship with Tessa bloom in a way that we haven’t seen already.  That drives this story and you see why this relationship is so important and what it could do to him it were to ever be lost.

I’m not going to give anything away, but we see Jason become more of a team player, a leader, a delegator more than just a solo partner and I say solo partner because I consider Jason and Aluria to be one person, but there is some dialogue in Disciple that occurs with multiple different people in Jason’s life and Jason has to sit back and try to understand what all of it means and how it’s going to affect the direction he goes from that point forward.  That was probably some of my favorite things to write, to write the observations that he was observing.

I’d have to say that it is so hard to make this video and post and to talk about Jason because he’s the main character.  Anything I could say about him would be spoiled so I’m going to leave it at that regarding Jason and Disciple.

If you’re eager to learn more about what I’ve talked about, go ahead and pre-order your copy of Disciple or come to one of my book signings.  More information on Jason and his experience in Disciple can be found here.

I’ll talk to you soon!
